"the devil is always talking lies.
vile drips from his lips like a
delicious poison, so enticing but
so dangerous but so pleasurable
it’s worth it.
he takes any open ears and
stretches them wide,
spitting revolting deceits
about lack of worth and
shortcomings. he’s
cheering you on,
one more cut on your ugly skin,
one more lie so you can have sex with him again,
one more curse because you’re not religious
one more, one more, one more,
and maybe one day you’ll be good enough

as his minions screech
like hyenas for another
job well done.

but God is always speaking
too, above the dark clouds
gathering around your eyes.
He whispers to you in every
moment how much you
are loved, do you hear?
He reaches out to
you, longing to know His child.
He tells you with every tear
how much He grieves over your
agony. He tells you
to be still during the nightmares
and reminds you of His final
victory when you feel all is
lost. He cares for you so much that
He knows every hair on your
head, can you imagine how much more
He wants to learn about your heart?"

who are you listening too? - c.h. (via heldinhishands)

Do you ever catch yourself thinking rude things about someone or judging them and you’re like “hey stop that, that’s not nice don’t u do that”

has it ever occurred to you that you could change your life right this second if you really wanted to?  you could stand up and yell at your teacher if you wanted to, you could place yourself in a life or death situation if you wanted, you could even take that risk and just spontaneously and passionately kiss the one you really love by surprise.  you could change the entire outcome of our lives, and if our lives are really as bad as we say they are, why won’t we take those chances.

Telling your son not to “be such a girl” lets his sister who overhears the conversation know that being a girl is not a good thing and she should be sorry and ashamed of herself.

It also reminds your son that being a boy is better than being a girl and therefore he is better than any girl he will ever meet.

In russian if you cry you get called a cabbage. Vote to change “dont be such a girl to “dont be such a cabbage” say I.
